We are delighted that Francesca Farioli, Director, Italian Association for Sustainability Science. Interuniversity Research Centre for Sustainable Development will be with us in June to deliver a presentation on:
Sustainability Science: a review of the state of the art, an analysis through an analytical-evaluative approach and some empirical lessons.
This session will cover current state of the art of sustainability science and some empirical experiences as an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments and pitfalls of current sustainability science research.
An analytical and evaluative framework employed to analyze transformational sustainability science projects will be presented.
Finally the experience of interdisciplinary and multi-actors sustainability science initiatives and networks will be discussed.
Francesca is Research Fellow and Coordinator of the Research Unit “Energy, Environment and Development” at CIRPS-Interuniversity Research Centre for Sustainable Development – Sapienza University of Rome. She has conducted research in several African countries on bioenergy for sustainable development, sustainability assessment, and policy implications. Her approach aims to bridge research, practice and policy.
