The 23rd CIRP conference on Electro-Physical, Chemical, Laser, and related Additive Manufacturing Processes (ISEM XXIII) will take place in Cardiff from 28th June to 1st July 2027.
The conference originally entitled "International Symposium for Electro Machining (ISEM)" was held for the first time in 1960 in Czechoslovakia. Since then, the most significant advances in the field of Electro Physical and Electro Chemical Machining technologies have found a common place for scientific and industrial discussion in this conference. ISEM now proudly takes place under the auspices of the CIRP (The international Academy for Production Engineering).
On behalf of the Organising Committee of ISEM XXIII, it is our honour to announce that the 23rd CIRP Conference on Electro-Physical, Chemical, Laser, and related Additive Manufacturing Processes will take place in Cardiff from 28th June to 1st July 2027. The Conference will be organised by Cardiff University.

Paper submission
The proceedings of the ISEM 2027 Conference will be published in the CIRP-approved journal Procedia CIRP.
The Editorial Manager submission system is open, and authors are warmly invited to submit full papers for peer review. Please note that this conference follows a direct full-paper submission process; submission of an abstract prior to the full paper is not required.
When accessing the submission system, please select “Submit your article” > “Start a new submission” and choose the option “SI: CIRP ISEM XXIII 2027.”
