Explore, discover, and think like a social scientist!

Come along to ‘Be a Social Scientist’ on Tuesday 27th October at Cardiff University’s Social Science Research Park (SPARK) for a fun-filled day of discovery for children and families!
Ever wondered how we understand people, communities, and the world around us? At this exciting event, you can explore the answers together through hands-on activities and interactive experiences designed for curious young minds.

Wander around our table-top stalls to meet friendly researchers, who will share fascinating ideas in fun and accessible ways. Join in with creative workshops where you can take part in games and challenges that bring social science to life. The event includes:

· Lego building activities, exploring sustainable architecture, school building design and mental well-being.
· Card games and puzzles that bring to life how social scientists address challenges in society.
· Clay modelling workshops investigating the significance of objects in our daily lives.
· Visual mapping, drawing, storytelling and much more!

Whether you love asking questions, solving puzzles, or just trying something new, there’s something here for everyone. Come and explore, learn, and have fun as a family—who knows, you might discover your inner social scientist!
