This Black History Month, join us and the Students’ Union for an inspiring and thought-provoking panel discussion celebrating this year’s theme, 'Honouring Our Communities'.

Come along to this interactive lunchtime event! Connect with others over a free lunch while exploring the stories and people that shape and strengthen our communities.

Alongside the panel discussion, you'll have the opportunity to meet a range of organisations and teams at our community marketplace. Our stallholders include Culture Connect Wales, Report and Support, our Race Equality Charter Mark Team. We’ll also have a creative crafting station where you can get involved and create something to take away with you.

Our panel speakers will share personal stories, experiences, and reflections on the importance of community in their lives. Following short opening talks from each panellist, there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.

Meet our speakers

Ali Abdi – Community Gateway Partnerships Manager
Prithpal Biant – Artist and Creative Coach
Professional Emmanuel Ogbonna - Cardiff University Professor and co-chair of the Anti-racist Wales action plan

Whether you're looking to learn, connect, or celebrate, all students, staff and organisation networks are invited to join us for an engaging conversation highlighting the resilience of our communities.
