Everyone seems to be talking about attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but what do we actually know?

ADHD affects around one in 20 children and young people. This webinar will explore the latest research on ADHD in children, with a particular focus on early signs in primary school-aged girls and boys. Understanding how ADHD presents, especially across genders, is key to recognising it early and providing timely support.

Dr Joanna Martin, Senior Research Fellow at Cardiff University, will share new findings from Wales on gender differences and signs that may be linked to ADHD in children. She will also introduce a new gender-inclusive ADHD assessment tool and explain how interested parents and carers can contribute to this research. Please see the study page for more information.

The session is ideal for parents and carers of primary school-aged children with confirmed or suspected ADHD, although everyone interested is welcome.
