What’s happening?
You will have the opportunity to connect with a range of stallholders and find out more about their work – stallholders include: Scope, Disability Wales and Jobcentre Plus.
We will then have our panel discussion explore disability in Wales, how we can amplify disabled voices and highlighting the history of disability activism. Have a question for our panelists? Submit it in advance via the signup form to get your voice included!

The event starts at 12:00, with a welcome from Sally-ann Efstathiou and a performance from the UCAN choir.

Professor Debbie Foster
Debbie Foster is Professor of Employment Relations and Diversity at Cardiff Business School. She helped coproduce and author 'Locked out: liberating disabled people's lives and rights in Wales beyond COVID-19' with other disabled people during Covid-19. This led to the establishment of a Disability Rights Taskforce by the Welsh Government in 2022.
Rosaleen Moriarty-Simmonds OBE
Disabled Businesswoman, Equality Campaigner, Prolific Volunteer and Charitable Worker; Author, Actor, Media Presenter, Inspirational Speaker and Artist with the world renowned, Mouth & Foot Painting Artists. After a lifetime of Campaigning for Rights and Equality for Disabled People, Rosie was awarded an OBE in the 2015 Queen's New Years Honours List.
Joe Powell
Joe Powell is the Chief Executive Officer at All Wales People First, a national umbrella body of self-advocacy groups for people with learning disabilities in Wales. Prior to this Joe lived in autism care services for eleven years before fighting to leave the care system and live the very different life he does now.
Abi Lasebikan
Abi has worked passionately in the field of diversity for over ten years, acquiring extensive She tirelessly advances the Welsh Parliament's Diversity and Inclusion strategy, supporting Members, their staff, and Commission staff in fulfilling our commitment to diversity. Abi is involved in various steering groups, such as the Race Council Cymru’s Black History Month Wales steering group and the C.I.P.D Diversity steering group.
