Disability in higher education and co-creating future for the next generation
Join us for an inspiring and interactive workshop on advancing disability inclusion in Higher Education!
Disability is often the least discussed aspect of diversity, yet one that deeply shapes people’s everyday experiences in academia. A lack of representation and visibility continues to reinforce barriers and misconceptions about the competence of individuals with disabilities.
Through new research funded by the British Council, we share the lived experiences of students and staff with disabilities, with a special focus on insights from Indonesia. Together, we’ll explore how to create more inclusive and empowering academic environments where everyone can thrive.
What you’ll gain:
• Insights into the lived experiences and challenges faced by disabled students and staff
• Key findings from the Royal Society on disability trends in STEM
• Opportunities to co-create inclusive practices and interventions that make real change

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and engage in the discussion, or even network over lunch. Come ready to learn, share, and be inspired to make higher education more accessible for all.
