Another chance to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with Cardiff Confucius Institute at Insole Court

Join us on Sunday 27th September as we come together for a special fundraising celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival.

Traditionally a time for gathering together, sharing food and celebrating beneath the full moon, the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important festivals in Chinese culture. This special evening at Insole Court will bring people together to share in some of its traditions while raising vital funds to support our community heritage site.

Throughout the evening, the Mansion will be filled with music, cultural activities and demonstrations for all ages. Discover Chinese culture through drop-in activities with the Confucius Institute, enjoy music performances in the Drawing Room, watch a Tai Chi demonstration, sample traditional Chinese street food and learn about the history of the festival.

As daylight fades, we’ll gather together for a special finale. Every ticket includes an LED lantern, ready to carry as we make our way through the gardens in a lantern parade at approximately 7:45pm, ending beneath the autumn evening sky at 8pm.
