NZII Visiting symposium: Tees Valley, CCR and the development of a net zero industrial cluster

The Net Zero Innovation Institute welcomes Dr Gari Harris, Director of the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre NZIIC) at the University of Teesside, who will present and discuss the development of a net zero industrial cluster in the north east of England.
Joining him to explore the opportunities and challenges, as well highlighting funding opportunities, are Colan Mehaffey, Director of Policy, Impact & Partnerships at Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) and Dr Bettina Bockelmann-Evans, Head of Innovation at CCR Energy.
Their talks will be followed by a panel discussion with speakers from NZIIC, CCR, CCR Energy, and Cardiff University to understand the parallels with the Cardiff Capital Region.
This event is presented by Cardiff University’s Net Zero Innovation Institute.
Visiting speaker:
Dr Gari Harris, Director at the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre (NZIIC), brings a wealth of relevant and extensive experience from both industry and academia. With a distinguished Professorial role at Dundee University in nanomaterials and a recent tenure as the head of British Steel's global Research and Development effort, Gari's expertise spans a broad spectrum.
