Could virtual reality change how knee osteoarthritis is managed at home? Discover how sensor-based VR games performed in practice, what using them felt like, and have your questions answered.

SPIN-VR is a Cardiff University study, funded by Arthritis UK and run in collaboration with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, exploring the feasibility of an at-home, sensor-based VR physiotherapy intervention for people with knee osteoarthritis (OA), aimed at tackling barriers to engagement with physiotherapy.

Join the SPIN-VR team as they share what the study set out to do and how it worked in practice, including the voice of one of our study participants describing what it actually felt like to use VR physiotherapy for knee OA rehabilitation. Short presentations will be followed by a live Q&A.

This session will be relevant to:

  • Patients & Public: discover how sensor-based VR games can change at-home knee rehab.
  • Clinicians: explore real-world feasibility, and how the intervention could be integrated into standard NHS care pathways.
  • Academics & Researchers: gain insights into the feasibility RCT design and the use of motion analysis in digital health tool development.

Whether you're a clinician, researcher, someone living with knee OA, or curious about the future of digital rehabilitation, REGISTER NOW TO ATTEND THIS WEBINAR to hear more about SPIN-VR!

If you have any questions about the session, accessibility needs, or require assistance, please contact [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you at the event!
